Lazy Daisy

I haven't been a very good blogger. It's been months since I last wrote something here. It's not for the lack of ideas to write about, a lot of things have happened to me actually. It's basically...dun dun dun dun...laziness!

So, here's an update about my life. My dad, sister and I moved to a new apartment last December; I attended my 25th high school reunion and it was a blast; Christmas happened; a new year began followed immediately by my birthday; things at work deteriorated and had to resign; I bummed for a few weeks; Got myself a home-at-work job; Had a get together with my college friends; and i think i have a new boyfriend.

Let's start with the moving residences. We all didn't want to move but we didn't have any choice. Dad found this apartment, a few minutes away from our former house, and we moved in immediately. It's a loft type apartment and i claimed the loft as my own domain. The day we moved in, there was barely space to walk on. Some relatives help us move and right after the last batch of stuff we're in, we all had dinner (KFC saved us) and immediately went to bed. The following day, i started to sort out the numerous boxes, bags, paper bags and plastic bags in the loft hoping to gain more floor space. Not much success but i knew several more sorting through and I will eventually find space to put a bed in my loft. I had so many stuff that it can be frustrating to get them all sorted out. Slowly, ten paper bags became eight, then became six, then became four. I threw a lot of paper and other stuff i convinced myself i don't need. Well after more than two months, I am now sleeping in my own bed in my loft. Hooray!

I will write a separate blog about my 25th high school reunion. It deserved that at least.

Christmas and New Year's Eve/Day went the way it was supposed to go. Happy times with family and relatives. The theme for New year's Eve was to wear white and some kind of head gear. I found an inflatable devil's horns head band amongst my stuff and wore that. Cousin Sheryl was nice enough to put some eye make up on me.

I celebrated my birthday with a beauty bonding session with my friends. Abi was in town from Bacolod and Doc Berns was nice enough to go to work during her day off to do some work on us girls. Of course, Cindy (who arranged everything) and Ish were there too. We crammed ourselves in Doc Bern's clinic at Let's Face It ATC as she gave each of us facials (i actually forgot the exact thing she did). She also showed us a a magic trick as she did a procedure on Abi to take out her varicuous veins. Amazing!

Now, let's go to the not so good part...work. 2010 was not a good year for the company. They had to retrench people, about 30% i think. Things were okay for a while but deteriorated again after a few months. In November, they had to reduce our working hours to three days a week and no excess pay.  After the new year, more bad news came. Our premium account client shut their operations down and another client pulled out their account. The company had to downsize further or close down. We were given the choice to voluntarily resign to keep the company alive. I resigned.

Family situation prevents me from getting a day job. Another call center job really does not appeal to me. So my option is to find a work-at-home job and I found one.  Thanks to my friend CJ, i am now working at home. The working hours are flexible, the work is a no-brainer and taking a bath is not a job requirement.

Celia is my classmate from college. She has been living in San Francisco with her husband Jeff and their two kids, Bianca and Kiko. Bianca is my godchild. The get together was as San Miguel By the Bay at MOA. It's always great to be in touch with old friends.

As for the new boyfriend...nothing to say just yet...
